Work at LLNL

I participate in research studies in immunology, microbiology, and molecular biology.  I conduct wet lab experiments and maintain cell cultures for studies.  I work with research scientists and postdocs, and prepare data analysis tables and figures needed for scientific papers.

Experience (30+ years)

1. Monoclonal antibody production: hybridoma culture, antibody purification, test of antibody by ELISA and Western blotting. 

2. Protein biochemistry: cell lysis, chromatographic protein purification, gel electrophoresis, protein expression, electrophoretic transfer for N-terminal sequencing.

3. Molecular biology: bacterial culturing, genomic and plasmid DNA extraction, PCR, molecular cloning. 

4. Laboratory safety and maintenance, ordering lab supplies, maintaining cell-line collections, and managing lab inventory and waste.

5. NLP assembling.
